Markus Wyss, COO and head of internal sales/HR at the high-end company (formerly Euronics Schweiz AG), died on 15 April. He had only been back with the purchasing partnership for two months. There is great consternation in the CE industry.

Markus Wyss, COO and Head of Internal Sales/HR at High-End Company (formerly Euronics Schweiz AG) died on April 15 at the age of 48, as can be seen from an obituary.

After a short period with kitchen builder Hans Eisenring and hand mixer manufacturer Bamix, Wyss first returned to Euronics Switzerland on February 14, 2024, where he worked in purchasing for almost 19 years until January 2023, most recently as purchasing manager. Before his long-term commitment to Euronics Switzerland, Wyss worked as product manager at Electronic Partner Switzerland or what was then Tetora for over 6 years until 2004.

Euronics Switzerland Chairman Thomas Kellenberger was satisfied in February about the return of Markus Wyss to Euronics Switzerland. Because Wyss was a deep expert and was considered a veteran of the CE industry. In his new role in the company’s management, he was also responsible for supplier relations in addition to internal sales.

A Euronics member told the CEtoday editors an der Home & Professional 24, which ended on April 23, that Markus Wyss was looking forward to the challenges ahead. He wanted to lead the former Euronics Switzerland, which was renamed the High-End Company, into a successful future. This is now being denied to him. Markus Wyss, born in 1975, would have been 49 years old on July 5.

The CEtoday editorial board expresses its condolences to relatives, friends, acquaintances and the entire Euronics Switzerland and High-End Company family.
