The candidates for head of Government of the city of Buenos Aires attended this Wednesday the day of debates prior to the October general elections. Ramiro Marra, a candidate for La Libertad Avanza, questioned the organization of the event from the beginning and was involved in a series of controversial exchanges with his political adversaries. At the beginning of Second block the Kirchnerist candidate Leandro Santoro told him: “Ramiro, you’re hurting yourself”.
“I am Ramiro Marra, I am from Buenos Aires and I am going to be head of government”expressed the candidate in his brief presentation.
From the beginning, Javier Milei’s collaborator expressed his disagreement with the organization of the exchange and assured that the debate “is fully regulated, they did it by law, without exposition…”.
“I will not be able to debate as I would have liked., because? Because they made rules so that they feel comfortable, which are not the ones that make me feel comfortable,” declared the liberal leader.
In turn, Marra presented himself as a representative of a “tired, fed up and sad society” and shot at the entire political leadershipwhich in his opinion “is failing.”

“The objective in this campaign will be to enter the runoff: Kirchnerism is going to be third“, declared Marra in the framework of an exhibition in which he maintained recurrent short circuits with Kirchnerism in general and with Leandro Santoro (Union por la Patria candidate) in particular.
When Santoro took the floor to start his presentation, he had technical difficulties with the sound of the microphone and Marra took the opportunity to question the organization again: “It seems they can’t manage a debate”.
“If we caught him, this wouldn’t happen”launched the libertarian, while the moderators asked for assistance to solve the problem and resume the discussion.
“These are things that happen, there is no problem,” Santoro tried to lighten up and resumed his presentation.
Next, Marra had a tense hand in hand with the Peronist candidate.
When Santoro referred to the historic confrontation between the Nation and the City over co-participation funds, Marra recalled that “Santoro, although he did not vote for that law, is still a Kirchnerist”.

He then focused his criticism on the management of Together for Change and remarked that “the city sucks.”
“They forgot to manage, they worried about a presidential campaign and they forgot about the people of Buenos Aires. Not to mention the number of times they break the sidewalks, the asphalt and the unnecessary street closures, a Keynesian policy that JxC constantly endorses,” he denounced Marra in line with the ideas of Javier Milei, a staunch critic of what he defines as “Keynesianism.”
“We also know the problems we have with traffic, the bike lanes they put everywhere, They only made an overload that damages traffic which is accompanied by the persecution they do with fines and points deductions. Marra denounced “political persecution of Kirchnerism”
Marra responded to the leader of radicalism with the vehemence that characterizes him.

“That was a political persecution of KirchnerismI have been working in the financial system for 23 years. [Santoro le menciona el examen de idoneidad] You can’t interrupt! Didn’t you read the rules? (Santoro laughs) You didn’t prepare for the debate. What did you see, a news story from a Kirchnerist media? They persecute me, like when they closed a company for carrying out an operation called Contado con Liqui. That’s why I got into politics, because of people like you, because of how hypocritical you are. They fined me seven days after taking office as a deputy. Six out of ten kids are poor, are you seriously asking me that question? Do you think that persecution is politics? Are you seriously messing with my work in the private sector, with all the damage they did to me? You hate those of us who work,” replied the person close to Milei.
Marra attacked Vanina Biasi: “Do you like to commit crimes?”
When discussing proposals with Vanina Biasicandidate for head of government for the Left Front, Marra raised the temperature of the debate and deepened his verbal attacks:
“Here we have a representative of the Polo Obrero, one of those who block the streets and call themselves picketers and commit a crime. What they do is wrong, when we become a government you will not have room. They will be arrested immediately for blocking the street. Do you like committing crimes?“, expressed the violet party candidate in a defiant tone.
For her part, the leftist leader responded that “behind Marra’s funny façade, there is a reactionary policy.”
“Marra and Macri mess with the poorest people in the country and blame them for hilarious things, when they are the ones who are illegal. When the topic regarding housing policy in the City of Buenos Aires was later addressed, Marra renewed his attacks against the candidate: “I was outraged by candidate Biasi, who are the people who live off the poor and abuse children”.
