The network has the first estimates of the tactical RPG Marvel’s Midnight Suns by Firaxis Studio (XCOM). Contrary to the fears of many fans of the genre, most journalists called her a pleasant surprise of the year.
Now on OpenCritic and Metacritic the title has 84/100.
Critics praised the interesting story, vibrant characters, and deep combat system inspired by Slay the Spire and Inscryption. The second half of the game (more social with dialogue between the characters) divided the reviewers – some were imbued with the interactions between the characters, while others found it boring.
The author of the review from the portal Rock Paper Shotgun Midnight Suns called Marvel’s Midnight Suns the best Marvel comics game, and an IGN journalist compared the story-telling title to games from BioWare, Obsidian and Bethesda.
Among the minuses, some noted the length of the storyline and the repetitiveness that occurs over time.
Marvel’s Midnight Suns Releases December 2nd for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series. Other platforms will release at a later date.
