A 50-year-old from Baltimore, Maryland, won the lottery by matching the numbers on her vehicle’s license plate.
Initially, the lucky woman had wanted to change the “lucky” plate bearing the numbers 9-1-1-0-4, when she bought her vehicle a few years ago.
But now these numbers haunt her to the point of seeing them everywhere, “on papers at work, on other license plates, on TV,” the fifty-year-old testified to CNN.
For some time, the woman began playing the numbers on the license plate several times in the hope of winning the jackpot.
On September 10, the 50-year-old bought a $1 ticket at a Baltimore grocery store, before being stunned when she saw she won $50,000.
“It couldn’t have happened at a better time,” said her husband, who was responsible for verifying the winning numbers, according to the American media.
As a reminder, last year, a Maryland resident won US$25,000 by playing the numbers on the license plate of his brother’s car, CNN added.
