The candidate for president of Unión por la Patria (UxP) and Minister of Economy, Sergio Massa he anticipated that he will announce new measures for informal workers, self-employed workers and SMEs. At the event, Massa asked the residents of that town to warn about the measures proposed by La Libertad Avanza: “Go talk to your neighbors, your friends, your mothers, your daughters; Tell them that we cannot think of living in a country in which weapons are sold freely in the supermarket, in which the organs of our body are sold as if they were a toy, that we have to build a value out of solidarity,” he expressed.

Regarding what will happen after the elections, he maintained that it will aim at national unity. “Because for an Argentine there is nothing better than another Argentine. Those who want to divide, exterminate, are going to remain in the past because we are going to turn a page in the history of Argentine politics,” emphasized the Minister of Economy.
“Imagine that in the vision of the country that they propose, there will be a toll booth in the middle. Because they propose that each work and each street has to be repaid through the citizens’ pockets. Because They do not believe in public investment as a mechanism for the development of our communities“Maybe because they don’t know the suburbs,” he questioned regarding the opposition.
“Between 2015 and 2019 there was not one of these in our entire suburbs. Yes, there were four in the City of Buenos Aires, because they only looked at the capital. Today we are in a period in which 13 like this are inaugurated: Pilar, Moreno, Ezeiza, Cañuelas, two in La Matanza. Because those of us who live in the Buenos Aires suburbs are not second-class citizens, we are Argentines who want to live better, and we want public investment to be better distributed in Argentina,” he continued.

Measures for the self-employed and workers in the informal economy

“Almost 3 million Argentines who are not part of the formal population, registered, but who are part of the economically active population. We are also going to extend the hand of the State to protect them,” added Massa. He also anticipated targeted measures for SMEs. “So that they continue generating jobs and paying less taxes,” he said.
