A massive fire broke out in a famous hypermarket on Mohamed Naguib Street in the Sidi Bishr area, east of Alexandria, resulting in the flames devouring its contents, while Civil Protection controlled the fire.
The Montazah Police Department received the first report indicating that a fire had broken out and flames and smoke were rising in one of the shops on a street off Mohamed Naguib Street in the Sidi Bishr area near the Alexandria Corniche.
Department officers and civil protection forces, accompanied by fire trucks and ambulances, moved to the site of the report, and the inspection revealed that a fire had broken out in a famous hypermarket under a property on the aforementioned street, which resulted in it being charred and smoke rising to two floors and part of the third floor.
The fire was brought under control, the flames were extinguished, and the fire was prevented from spreading to neighboring stores, while it was being confirmed whether there were injuries or not.
The report was prepared at the first Montazah Police Department, and it is being presented to the Public Prosecution for investigation.
