Mastodon Client Ivory Launches for Mac

About four months after the release of Ivory for iOS — alternative Tapbots client (same developer of the late Tweetbot) for Mastodon —, the app is launching today for macOS — which had been tested for some time.

Ivory for Mac follows the design and functionality available in the iPhone/iPad version, including multi-account support, notifications push customizable tabs and visible notifications tab, timeline filters to quickly show/hide posts by different criteria, and more.

Available as a binary for Macs with chips from Intel and Apple Silicon, the app minimally requires macOS Ventura 13 to run.

The app also requires a subscription and recently the developers made some changes to the labels of the available plans. In that sense, if you paid for the old plan Premieryou’ll automatically have access to the Mac app (which also includes iPhone and iPad), which is now called Universal.

already the plan Pro is called now iOS + iPadOS, which only gives access to the respective devices, naturally. If you upgrade this plan to Universalyour subscription date will be reset and you will be refunded the remainder of your subscription Proaccording to the developers.

Any app supporters out there excited about the news?
