Matador presents the first hydrogen super sports car

Matador has unveiled its MH2 super sports car, which uses hydrogen as a fuel.

The Slovak company explained that its test car depends on the cranks of an electric motor and fuel cell technologies, but it has not yet disclosed the main data of the fuel cell and the storage capacity of the low-pressure hydrogen tank.

Engine Specifications

Inside the super sports car, a 600-horsepower engine roars, pushing it from rest to 100 km / h in 3.9 seconds, and a top speed of 250 km / h.

The interior has a modern concept of instrumentation, digital screens and touch control surfaces, with luxurious materials spread throughout the cabin.

Matador has not yet revealed the chances of its MH2 concept entering standard production.

Matador’s birth

Matador was founded in Bischoff in 1947 as a “national enterprise” separated from the old company, Matador Bratislava.

Matador Bratislava was founded in 1905 (until 1911 it was known as “Matador – Gummi und Balata Werke”) and was mainly engaged in the production of hoses and rubber belts at its facilities in one of the provinces of Bratislava.

And since 1925, it has produced tires (the first tire producer in the former Czechoslovakia). Tires were installed for many Czechoslovak cars in the 1930s, which contributed to the cooperation with the brands Skoda, Tatra, Aero and others to develop the automobile industry in Central Europe. The company was nationalized in 1946 and privatized in 1995. Its trading name is Matadorx since privatization.

A joint venture was established by the Slovak company Continental Matador to produce truck tires in Bischof in September 1998. In 1999, the company’s transformation took its final stage by changing management and switching to the German model system and the company’s activities expanded to include automobile manufacturing.
