A bone fragment was removed from Kuchler’s pelvis during a marathon operation. The next procedure is planned for Christmas Eve.
Matthias Walkner is currently going through what is probably the most difficult time of his career. After his devastating training crash in the USA, in which the Kuchler motorcycle ace suffered a knee injury, multiple, including open, fractures to his tibia, fibula and foot as well as a complex comminuted fracture to his upper left ankle, Walkner was already in Palm Springs, California operated on twice. After the transfer to Austria, the next procedure was scheduled for Wednesday at the Graz UKH to reconstruct the severely damaged ankle. Walkner has to stay in intensive care because of intestinal germs
