Mayor blames “the heat” and carbohydrates for the violence in Acapulco

The Municipal President of Acapulco, Abelina López Rodríguez (Morena), considered that “the heat” and eating carbohydrates are factors that contribute to violence.

In statements to the media, speaking about the factors that contribute to violence, López Rodríguez points out that there are many and lists some of them.

“We have around 16.2 of extreme poverty, which can also be a factor for violence. The gender issue can also be a factor for violence. Lack of employment can also be a factor, and the same… heat can also be a factor for violence. A bad diet, when you bring a bad diet, for example, if they eat more carbohydrates, you accelerate”.
