McMahon homers in the 9th; Rockies win in Arizona

Ryan McMahon hit a tie-breaker in the ninth, Antonio Senzatella pitched seven quality innings and the Colorado Rockies rallied to beat the Arizona Diamondbacks 3-2 on Saturday.

McMahon found a high fastball from Ian Kennedy (4-5) and sent the ball to the seats, between left and center field, to define the game. The powerful line quickly disappeared behind the left-field fence, where the 413-foot sign is.

It was his 10th home run of the season.

The Rockies rallied from two one-run deficits in the final innings. Rookie Elehuris Montero hit his first career home run to level it at 2-2 in the eighth.

Venezuelan Senzatela allowed two runs and nine hits in seven innings, with two strikeouts and no walks. Carlos Estevez (3-4) scored a scoreless eighth inning and Daniel Bard pitched the ninth for his 23rd save in 25 chances.

For the Rockies, Cuban José Iglesias 3-1. Venezuelan Yonathan Daza 4-1. The Dominican Montero 3-2 with one scored and one produced.

For the Diamondbacks, the Dominicans Ketel Marte 4-2 with a run scored, Geraldo Perdomo 2-0.
