Epidemiological summary

During the epidemiological week 30 of 2023no cases of measles or rubella have been reported in CanadaFootnote 2.

To date, in 2023, 7 measles cases have been reported and no rubella cases have been reported. The last case of rubella was reported in December 2019. The last case of congenital rubella syndrome/infection was reported in September 2018.

To date in 2023, 7 measles cases have been genotyped and the genotypes were B3 (n=2) and D8 (n=5).
