Medvedev Named “Number Two” of Russian Military-Industrial Commission – Kianda Mail

The President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, named this Monday, 26, the former head of state and current vice-president of the Security Council, Dimitri Medvedev, as the new “number two” of the Russian Military-Industrial Commission.

According to a Presidential Decree, Medvedev will occupy the position of vice-president of this commission, in charge of guaranteeing the implementation of the country’s military policy.

The position was just created by Vladimir Putin and immediately assigned to his trusted man, who will combine the position with that of deputy administrator of the Security Council.

The entity is led by Putin himself and has the presence of other prominent names of the Russian military leadership, such as the Minister of Defense, Sergei Shoigu, the Chief of General Staff, Valeri Gersimov, and the heads of the secret services and the Guard. National, among others.
