The Faculty of Medicine of the Navarra University Foundation has a new dean. Is about JOsé Eugenio Carrera Quintana, who has held prominent public and private positions, among which are: scientific deputy director and manager of the San Vicente de Paul de Garzón Hospital, manager of the Nuestra Señora de Fátima de Suaza Hospital, Neiva municipal Health Secretary, Departmental Health Secretary of Huila, Comfamiliar EPS Director and Executive President of the Medilaser Clinic, among others.
He is a medical specialist in Social Security, noted for his knowledge of the Colombian health system, he has more than 30 years of experience and recognition in the health sector from the scientific and administrative field; as well as academically.
He is also a lawyer from the Navarra University Foundation, a specialist in Criminal Law from the Universidad del Rosario and Evidence Law from the Sergio Arboleda University; as well as a candidate for a Master’s in Legal Argumentation from the University of León, Spain and a Master’s in Digital Law and Legal Tech, from the Sergio Arboleda University.
“We want to consolidate this Faculty as the most important in the south of the country, it is a great challenge, but it is important to highlight that the University has been growing and making a presence in all the scenarios of the Department and offering programs that did not exist in the region, as it is diagnostic imaging technology. We are called to play a decisive role in the process of transformation of the health system and it is our commitment to society to deliver highly trained, ethical and responsible health professionals to the country and the region”maintained the new Dean of the Uninavarra.
