JEONG Kwan-Jang Reds Sparks defeated Heungkuk Life Insurance Pink Spider in the second round of the 2023-2024 V-League Playoffs which was held at Chungmu Gymnasium, Sunday (24/3).
Red Sparks, led by coach Go Hee-jin, defeated Pink Spider with a score of 3-1 (25-19, 25-23, 20-25, and 25-15).
Red Spark’s victory was spearheaded by two of their foreign players, namely, Giovanna Milana or Gia and Megawati Hangestri. Megawati and Gia pocketed a total of 55 points in the match.
As a result, Megawati and friends made the aggregate score 1-1 against the Pink Spiders, after losing in the first game, last Friday (22/3).
Before the match, Red Spark training Ko Hee-jin hopes that Megawati and Gia can perform well. This was finally proven by their points tally.
“We can only win if we score points and I am looking forward to Megha and Zia,” said Hee-jin as quoted by Naver.
Due to this result, Cheong Kwan Jang and Heungkuk Life Insurance will face each other again at the Samsan World Gymnasium in Incheon on Tuesday (26/3). (Z-1)
