Meghan Markle requested an “individual hearing” with the new King Charles III after Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral and before she and Prince Harry return to California, United States, according to a royal staffer.
Royal expert Neil Sean described the move as “very brave” on the part of the Duchess of Sussex and suggested that showed that she is the natural “leader” of her relationship with prince harry
The couple had been in London as part of a European tour when news of the Queen’s deteriorating health broke earlier in the month. The Duke of Sussex rushed to Aberdeenshire along with other members of the royal family hours before Elizabeth II’s death was announced, and since then the two have remained in the UK for yesterday’s funeral.
The two retired from full-time royal duties two years ago to move to the United States And, according to rumors, they have since had a troubled relationship with the rest of the royal family, due to unfortunate comments Meghan Markle has made about some members of her in-laws.
But now, with the queen’s death appearing to spark a conciliatory mood among members of the royal family, the Duchess of Sussex is said to want another chance to “clean things up”.
On his YouTube channel, royal expert Neil Sean said that a member of the royal house who personally attends to the family had revealed to him the existence of a “formal” letter where the Duchess of Sussex requests an audience with King Charles III.
“That’s right, Meghan face to face with King Charles III. You heard right,” said the journalist who claimed to have an idea of some of the letter’s contents.
“She feels it would be an opportunity to set the record straight, make the rights out of the wrongs, and explain some of the reasons behind what they’ve been doing for the last two years.”
Sean added: “To tell the truth, we have no idea if this is going to be to the King’s liking but I think it’s a very brave move by Meghan herself because basically what she’s saying is, ‘Look, I’m the leader in this relationship; I am open to that. Maybe we can explain what’s been going on and why we did it, and give both sides.’”

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have made a series of controversial interventions since moving to the United States. After her interview with Oprah Winfrey, the Queen made a rare statement about some of the allegations the couple had made.
The duke’s father was not immune to accusations: in the now-famous 2021 interview, Harry said he had been “cut off” financially by the then Prince of Wales.
Despite these statements,King Carlos III seemed ready to mend family ties when he took over the crown. In his first speech as king, he said: “I want to express my love for Harry and Meghan as they continue to build their lives abroad.”
