Melty Blood: Type Lumina teams continue to add content to their fighting game. Aoko Aozaki will enter the game for free as “The Magic Gunner” in January.

Melty Blood is an Air Dasher-style 2D fighting game series. You have to master acrobatics and aerial attacks to gain a certain advantage. Type Lumina is the last opus of the license Melty Blood. French Bread have already served some content since its release on September 29, 2021, like Hisui and Kohaku in October. The end of the year celebrations also saw the arrival Dead Apostle Noel.

Here we are now with the new character Aoko Aozaki, in preparation for January 2022. She is the successor of the fifth magician. Despite her lack of qualification as a pure magician, she possesses one of (if not the best) most powerful destructive powers. Its nickname, “The Magic Gunner” would come from one of its showers of bullets, burning like geysers. She even seems to be successful in combining her magic with martial arts, giving her an unusual fighting style.

It is during one of his trips that Aoko Aozaki meets Shiki. Besides gifting him a special pair of glasses to erase the power from his eyes, she manages to teach him the value of human life. This is how Shiki began to call him professor and gave him deep respect. Still, The Magic Gunner is hard to pin down. A wanderer by nature, she may not be someone you can rely on, but she believes in justice.

French Bread continues to work on releasing their first DLC (currently we don’t have a date). The game is available from end of September on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC.
