Today, the role of ‘medical science’ in protecting humans from disease and leading a happy life is twofold. One is to explain the phenomena of empirical medicine with structural natural laws, and the other is to broaden the horizon of empirical medicine.
Here, oriental medicine has already developed a treatment method for the pathogenesis and stage through the characteristics of the patient and the dialectic by analyzing the human life form structurally and mechanically as ‘one body’, which is a unitary existence of ‘mind and body’ for thousands of years. Thus, it established a position in medical science.
In other words, in mental health oriental medicine, the developmental function (soul), propulsion function (god), integrated function (ui), inhibitory function (white), and calming function (intelligence) activities have been analyzed and utilized in clinical practice through structural epidemiologic analysis.

A man in his 40s came to the hospital complaining of chest tightness, palpitations and dizziness. Patient: Ummm… yes… (bends head)
Oriental Doctor: You two are wonderful parents who care for each other and love their children. If you two want to discuss anything comfortably, you only need to learn how to have a friendly conversation.

I judged this patient to be ‘heart system, schizophrenia’ caused by exhaustion of ‘body and mind’ at work and home for a long time. .
In the family life cycle, patients who fall under the category of ‘families with adolescent children’ of middle school and high school 3 children developed ‘panic disorder’ as they concentrated their efforts with great interest and responsibility on education according to the characteristics of their children and children’s education expenses. will be.
In this way, it was possible to calm a patient whose divergence and propulsion function was neglected due to delusional cognition, and to connect it with family love by calming the patient with an integrative and inhibitory toilet therapy through cerebral metacognition expansion.
A patient who came to the hospital one month after taking the medication said, “He picks up the soccer player’s son to the stadium and sleeps well.” “My wife also took a summer vacation in time for my son’s soccer game. . I have to go back and return to work,” she smiles broadly.
Mental health oriental medicine, ‘medical science’ that prevents disease and provides a happy life
As seen in the above case, I was able to heal the body and mind through structural mechanics as a life phenomenon of five functional activities.
If expressed in a modern way, 魂 is the impulse sensory, God is the divine sensory, Will is the personality sensory, 魄 is the censorship sensory, and 志 is the operational sensory.
It is considered that even for severe mental health disease groups visited by practitioners of oriental medicine, the principle of epidemiologic structure, which came first before transfer to a tertiary medical institution, a university oriental medicine hospital, should be applied and utilized in mental health oriental medicine clinical trials.
It is in this context that the Korean Medicine Mental Health Center (KMMH) is conducting scientific research by applying the name of oriental medicine disease and dialectic system to innovative technology development projects such as the ‘brain research project’.
