Mercedes offers an interesting Edition version on the EQA and EQB: it allows you to have great autonomy and the bonus!
By sharply lowering its prices, Tesla has jostled its competitors in the electric car market. Rivals well obliged to adapt, even if none will recognize it publicly. For example, we saw Ford slash the price of the Mustang Mach-E. This time, it’s Mercedes’ turn to adapt the EQA and EQB offer to make them more attractive.
Mercedes offers a new Edition variant for these models, which are both offered at the same price: 46,950 €. A price that was not chosen at random, since it allows you to enter the bonus zone, the latter being reserved since 2023 for models that cost less than €47,000. This is also why the EQB is also at this price, even though it is much larger and more habitable than the EQA!
The pleasant surprise of these Edition versions is that they are associated with the 250+ variant, i.e. the long battery life! The 190 hp block is coupled to a 70.5 kWh battery (useful capacity). What gives with the EQA a range in combined cycle WLTP of 527 km. Penalized by a less aero silhouette, the EQB announces its side 485 km. It is also better than the Model Y Propulsion and its 455 km. Mercedes, on the other hand, are penalized by a maximum direct current recharge capped at 100 kW.
The other good point is to see the equipment of the Edition remain generous. There are thus standard 18-inch rims, LED headlights, 10.25-inch digital instrumentation, 10.25-inch touch screen with navigation, blind spot monitoring, automatic high beams, assistance keeping in the lane, slot assistance, etc.
To stay in the bonus area, you must not check any option. But with the bonus, we have a price of 41,950 €, which is interesting for premium family models with good autonomy. Proof of the effort made by Mercedes, the EQA 250+ Business Line is at €55,750!
