Argentina revived its hopes of qualifying for the final eight by defeating Mexico 2-0 on Saturday in the second stage of Group C matches within the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™.

The pressure seemed clear on Argentina after the loss to Saudi Arabia, as it would have formally deposited the tournament if it lost to Mexico.
