The partnership between Meta and LG likely formed following the reveal of the Apple Vision Pro, with even Samsung reportedly scrapping its earlier prototype to work on something that’s more like Apple’s offering in terms of design and feature set. .
However, before the Quest 4 Pro launches in a few years, Meta intends to release a more affordable model. Maekyung’s report reveals that an entry-level model for less than $200 will be released in 2024, followed by the Quest 4 Pro in 2025 for an undisclosed retail price. Despite this, NH Investment and Securities published an outlook on the Apple Vision Pro’s competitors, talking about Samsung and the possibility of Meta and LG launching a premium AR headset for around $2,000.
