Meta is introducing a series of advertising innovations across campaign creation, audience targeting, and in-conversation checkout, as announced at Advertising Week New York.
Ads Manager AI Assistant Expands Memory and Natural Language Control
The business assistant integrated within Meta Ads Manager already handles tasks from campaign planning to performance measurement. According to Meta, advertisers following its recommendations routinely achieve roughly five percent more conversions at an equivalent cost per conversion. Two core updates are launching immediately: the assistant now incorporates creative insights directly from Ads Creative Studio to feed high-performing visuals back into campaign strategy, and it features an expanded enterprise memory that retains the previous quarter’s testing data, seasonal business trends, and user-stated goals.
Additional capabilities are entering testing phases across global markets. These include importing brand voice, strategy, and style guidelines from third-party AI tools already deployed by the enterprise. Advertisers will also gain natural language campaign management to generate images and text, modify targeting parameters, and adjust budgets, alongside preview and validation controls determining which actions require manual approval. Scheduled tasks and automated alerts will handle performance reviews, weekly syntheses, and budgetary check-ins.
For large advertisers and media agencies, the Meta Ads Server Model Context Protocol (MCP) now supports external workflows via third-party AI platforms. This enables visual imports, advertisement previews, and granular performance tracking. Databricks, Perplexity, and Snowflake are among the early enterprise partners integrating this server architecture into their product ecosystems. Agent-generated preparation work arrives as editable drafts inside Ads Manager, enforcing strict human-in-the-loop validation before any production deployment.
Generative Video and Natural Language Targeting in Ads Creative Studio
Ads Creative Studio, unveiled earlier in the summer, is widening its availability to a broader roster of advertisers. The workspace analyzes performance telemetry alongside audience signals to surface clear correlations regarding which visual elements drive conversions and why. It now automatically generates distinct conceptual variations and video formats, allowing marketeers to fine-tune copy hooks, audio tracks, shot durations, subtitles, and final call-to-action sequences.
The push toward automated video generation aligns with Meta’s internal usage data indicating that video accounts for more than 60 percent of user engagement time across Facebook and Instagram. Consequently, Advantage+ creative tooling now enables universal static-to-video generation for all users. Eligible participants in ongoing beta tests can dynamically convert catalog imagery into dedicated product videos directly inside Ads Manager and Commerce Manager. Expanded product recommendations identify featured items within a running advertisement to automatically surface complementary goods from the same collection or top-selling inventory.
By the end of the year, granular targeting within Ads Manager will integrate AI-assisted audience discovery. Instead of manually filtering through rigid parameter lists, brands and agencies can describe their target demographic in plain conversational text, retaining the system-generated audience segments that match their distribution criteria. The Customer Lifecycle Strategy feature is now open to all advertisers. When a campaign is designated for customer acquisition, the platform automatically recommends excluding existing buyers without requiring the advertiser to manually assemble exclusion lists. Meta is also testing broader exclusions via single Audience Labels.
Direct Checkout Integrations Across Messaging and Conversational Surfaces
Meta is experimenting with direct payment execution within its conversational interfaces to capture transactions where users evaluate and select products. Three distinct pilots are currently underway. On Messenger, Shopify has partnered with Meta to facilitate immediate product purchasing directly following a customer exchange with a brand’s business agent. Within the standalone Meta AI interface, transactional tests are scheduled to launch with Adyen, PayPal, Shopify, and Stripe to process sales instantly as items appear natively within dialogue threads. The Muse conversational interface is expanding its native checkout options by adding the PayPal wallet to its existing support for Link by Stripe and Shop Pay.
Geographic rollouts remain staggered, with Meta omitting specific country timelines for the broader feature set while tests remain active. Muse is not yet available across Europe, and no formal launch date has been established for France. These advertising advancements build directly upon Meta’s broader commercial agent strategy. In June, the company scaled up its Business Agent infrastructure to manage customer queries across WhatsApp, Messenger, and Instagram. In late September, the personal assistant framework expanded through Muse for Small Business, specifically tailored for micro-enterprises and small-to-medium business operators.
