Mexico, Panama and Haiti, the rivals of Guatemala Sub 20 in the Concacaf World Cup
This Thursday, April 11, Concacaf held the draw for the Mexico Under 20 World Cup in the United States. Guatemala already knows its rivals.

It’s official, the North American, Central American and Caribbean Football Confederation (Concacaf) held the draw for the Mexico Under 20 World Cup this Thursday, April 11, which will take place between July 19 to August 4, 2024.
The Guatemalan National Team qualified for the World Cup last March after finishing in first place in the Concacaf Qualifiers that took place in national territory. The bicolor won four consecutive victories (Barbados, 3-1, 6-0 against San Martín, 5-1 against Aruba and 1-0 against Curacao) and with that qualified for the World Cup that will take place in the cities of Celaya and Irapuato at the Guanajuato stadium, Mexico.
Guatemala, located in pot 3 before the draw, was paired against local Mexico, with Panama and with Haiti in Group C.
The Pre-World Cup will be where the bicolor seeks its third Fifa Under 20 World Cup, the next edition will be in 2025. The four teams that reach the semi-finals will be awarded tickets to the World Cup..
Each team will play a total of three games in the group stage, with the first two places and the two best third places advancing to the quarterfinals.
The 25 games of the competition will be divided into two venues: the Sergio León Chávez Stadium in Irapuato and the Miguel Alemán Valdés Stadium in Celaya.

The Under 20 National Team will be playing a preparation tournament before playing the Under World Cup.
From April 22 to 30, coach Marvin Cabrera and his players will play a preparatory event in Turkey for the test in July and August.
Guatemala was paired in Group B of the tournament in Türkiye and will face Ecuador, Morocco and Russia.
