The American media argues that it is Jafaar, the artist’s nephew, who landed the lead role of this project, led by the American director Antoine Fuqua. Jermaine Jackson, one of Michael’s brothers and former member of the Jackson 5, passed on his passion for music to his son. So much so that in 2019, at the age of 12, he released his very first single, Got me singing. This Monday, January 30, the young man therefore confirmed the news of Deadline on his Twitter account. “I’m truly honored to be able to bring my Uncle Michael’s story to life. To all the fans around the world, see you soon”, he wrote on the social network. Prince Jackson shared a photo of his cousin, Jaafar Jacksoncaptured by her brother, to react to the announcement. “My cousin is going to play my father in an upcoming biopic directed by Antoine Fuqua. He looks so much like my dad and I’m sure we’ll all do our best to show the world a side of my dad they’ve never seen before.”he wrote, overjoyed.
