Michel Evans, mayor awaiting the return of Marc Tarabella: “I challenge you to find a person who believes him guilty”

Marc Tarabella now indicted in the Qatargate affair and placed under an arrest warrant, the Commune of Anthisnes sees its mayor take over the management of the prison of Saint-Gilles and finds itself without its captain. Michel Evans, 1st alderman, will perform the duties during his absence. A situation that does not seem to upset the municipal college which always shows its unwavering support for its mayor. “We stay behind him. I challenge you to find a person on the Anthisnes entity who believes him guilty. It is a very unfortunate situation for him and his family but I have no doubts about his innocence, he confides looking calm and serene. I’m sure he’s safe and will be back in a few days.”

The Anthisnois MEP obviously has a real fan club behind him. And if his team regrets the difficult situation he is experiencing, that does not affect the morale of the troops. “The law is clear. When the mayor is absent, it is the first alderman or the designated person who takes over the functions. I will therefore be acting mayor for the moment. For me, it does not change anything, assure Michel Evans. We have not scheduled a meeting to discuss it among ourselves. We are elected to satisfy the population and to advance the files. That’s all.” Let the pessimists be reassured. In Anthisnes, everything is going well.
