A 27-year-old local had to be taken to the hospital with injuries following a traffic accident in Ramingstein on Sunday followingnoon.

The man was on the B95 from Ramingstein to Tamsweg with his car at around 2.40 p.m. when he probably got off the right side of the road because of microsleep. The vehicle touched a street marker and then fell over the embankment. The car overturned and eventually came to rest on the driver’s side.
The driver was able to get out of his vehicle on his own and was taken to the Tamsweg State Clinic following initial treatment by the Red Cross with injuries of an unspecified degree. An alcohol test carried out on the accident driver showed a blood alcohol level of 1.1.
