Microsoft has released flash drives with licensed Windows 11 for $139

The Windows 11 operating system was released last October, and only now Microsoft decided to release a “boxed” version of the OS on physical media. They can already be found on various online trading platforms. For example, in the US, they can be purchased at the BestBuy store.

On physical media, Windows 11 is distributed in Home and Pro editions. The first is valued at $139.99, the second at $199.99. For the same prices, Microsoft offers to purchase digital licenses of these OS. The boxed version of Windows 11 contains a USB drive with the OS distribution kit, as well as an activation key for the operating system.

While most users are unlikely to decide to use the physical method of installing a new OS, having an alternative is always a good thing. Microsoft has not abandoned the method of installing its operating systems from physical media for many years. And as a bonus, owners of physical copies of Windows 11 will receive a very attractive USB drive and elegant packaging.

By the way, there is a way to save money on buying a digital version of Windows 11. The Amazon online store is currently selling a licensed copy of Windows 10 Pro for $85 ($45 discount). After purchasing it, you can upgrade to Windows 11 for free.
