Microsoft has been working together with the Central Bank (BACEN), financial institutions and associations to support the digital transformation of the financial sector, supporting recent innovations such as the development of Open Finance, PIX and, now, being the only company to be in four consortia for the development of the Real Digital pilot project. Prior to the pilot, the company teamed up with Visa, Sinqia and Agrotoken, during the Lift Challenge promoted by BACEN last year, to create an innovative solution to support small and medium-sized agricultural companies to expand their businesses and access global capital markets.
Now, Microsoft is participating in consortia with Caixa and Elo, contributing to the tokenization of assets and DLT (Distributed Ledger Technology); with ABBC – Brazilian Association of Banks, BBchain and BIP; Banco ABC, Hamsa and LoopiPay; and with Banco Inter and 7COMm. All these initiatives are intended to bring solutions to support the financial ecosystem in the digital transformation of the sector through innovations in Brazilian means of payment, with security, resilience and confidentiality.
