Microsoft removes direct sharing from Xbox consoles

A recent report revealed that the company Microsoft It’s considering removing a feature that allows Xbox users to upload gameplay clips directly from their consoles to Twitter.

And in an update to Xbox Insider builds, Microsoft added Twitter and other social media icons to the Game DVR’s “mobile sharing” option, essentially confirming that it has no plans to re-share Twitter live Xbox game clips, Windows Central reports.

Users can now just upload clips to their phones, then share them to Twitter from their devices, unnecessarily adding extra steps and removing a feature the Xbox has had for years, often removing features that mention “low usage” from its users as an excuse. It is for those “few” who use these features, the report said.

Microsoft may have to pay a Twitter fee to access the API and don’t think it’s worth it anymore or maybe Microsoft is preparing to replace the system with something else that will allow you to share from Xbox directly to Twitter, however, this is all just speculation so far.
