Might 29: Argentine Military Day

The Military was formally born on Might 29, 1810 by resolution of the First Authorities Board, following the basic position that army troops had performed in the course of the Might Revolution. It was, indisputably, a key step on the trail in direction of future independence, declared six years later.

Presently, the Military is in command of contributing to nationwide protection to guard the sovereignty of Argentine territory. Moreover, its members are in command of defending pure sources, the surroundings and territorial integrity, in addition to contributing to scientific, technological, financial and social improvement, cooperating to attain the overall well-being of the communities, take part in peace and humanitarian help missions, and supply help within the struggle towards narcoterrorism.
