The elected president Javier Miley announced that he had a conversation with the Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Kristalina Georgieva, in which he presented the “great economic challenge” that Argentina faces.
Through his social networks, Milei assured that he told him about the different aspects of his “fiscal adjustment plan” and his monetary program.
“The Fund was collaborative to find the structural solutions that Argentina needs,” said the future head of state.
The head of the IMF also published a message on social networks along with an image of the virtual meeting. “We discussed the challenges of the Argentine economy and the necessary political initiatives,” she said.
