In a historic event for the Crucero district of the province of Carabaya, in Puno, the Minister of Education, Oscar Becerra Tresierra, handed over the license to the Institute of Public Higher Education (IESP) of that town located more than 4,000 meters above the sea. sea level, and said that it is a sign that in the Ministry of Education “things can be done well, quickly and without corruption.”
“The process for the licensing of the Cruise IESP was carried out without delay, after careful verification. Today we deliver the license to its director in the presence of the district mayor and two of his councilors. We are very satisfied because it has been a joint effort that benefits the youth of Puno”, said Becerra.
The minister explained that now the Crucero district, which is not located in the capital of Puno but in one of its provinces, is on the way to becoming a pole of academic development for the entire region, since young people who previously finished high school and they were forced to emigrate in search of a better future, now they will have the opportunity to continue their studies in the place and follow various specialties necessary for the development of the place.
“We are showing the country that Puno is Peru and that young people from Puno have the right to a quality education. This institute is an example for all of Peru that things can be done right by working together with the central government, regional governments, local governments, and educational institutions, as proposed by President Dina Boluarte,” said the minister.
Becerra delivered to the director of the IESP, Víctor Pando Beltrán, the ministerial resolution of the accreditation in an act held in the Minedu in which the district mayor of Crucero, Jaime Huisa Cáceres, and the vice minister of Pedagogical Management, Miriam Ponce Vértiz, were also present. .
The Crucero district institute is the first technological institution in the country that begins to function with the institutional licensing of Minedu after meeting the minimum quality conditions.
Mayor Huisa pointed out that the licensing of the institute “marks the beginning of the development of the region, which has immense natural resources and enormous agricultural-mining potential. Thank you, Minister Becerra, for giving us the tools to become a pole of development to overcome poverty.”
