MINISTER of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Arifin Tasrif ensures that the availability of fuel oil (BBM) is safe during the Idul Fitri 1445 H/2024 period. He conveyed this when reviewing it Integrated Terminal Surabaya, East Java Province, Thursday (4/4).
“In general, the durability of fuel stocks in good condition is more than 20 days, pertalite 20 days and diesel is also the same,” said Arifin in an official statement, Friday (5/4).
To ensure that people’s fuel and LPG needs are met, Arifin said that the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources through BPH Migas together with PT. Pertamina (Persero) has formed a Task Force (Satgas) which will start on March 25 – April 21 2024.
During the 2024 Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr Post period, PT. Pertamina has alerted 115 fuel terminals, more than 7,400 public fuel filling stations (SPBU), and 71 aircraft filling depots (DPPU), as well as alerting additional facilities in areas with demand height.
However, Arifin explained that the weather factor was something to be wary of, considering that extreme weather would disrupt fuel distribution. “Extreme weather will have an impact supply. Nevertheless, inventory “The (supplies) we have are quite good,” he explained.
Regarding the homecoming flow for the Eid al-Fitr period this year, Arifin received a new report that fuel consumption had increased by 5% from normal needs. However, the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources asked the ranks of PT. Pertamina anticipates this by preparing 1.5 to 2 times more fuel stock.

On the same occasion, Pertamina’s Director of Logistics and Infrastructure, Alfian Nasution, said that stocks of fuel and LPG had been prepared in prime condition. The flow meter checking indicators from gas station dispensers are also in accordance with meteorological regulations.
“The accuracy of the dispensers at gas stations is really good, so I think both the BBM Terminal and Pertamina gas stations are ready to serve Eid this year,” he explained.
Facing the Eid al-Fitr period and the homecoming flow, Alfian explained that Pertamina has LPG agents on standby as well as modular gas stations in rest areas that do not have gas stations. Apart from that, pockets are also prepared for tank cars and motorbike services delivery service if a customer is stuck in traffic.
