The Ministry of Health announced this Friday that the country will begin to apply a second dose of anticovid booster. That is, the meats of vaccination against covid-19 may have up to four doses recorded.
Who confirmed the information was Gerson Bermont, director of Promotion and Prevention. According to the official, the application of these second booster doses will be authorized only with medical advice.
The patients who apply for the second booster dose, says the Ministry, are those who present autoimmune diseases, transplants or are immunosuppressed. New reinforcements must be administered 30 days after the application of your last anticovid dose.
“The application of second boosters is being authorized for diseases such as leukemia, myeloma, lymphoma or with chemotherapy,” explained Bermont. And he warned that they may continue to be heterologous schemesthat is, with marks of vaccines different from those received in the first doses.
