The report highlights that the management understood that he was a witch child, a fact that led to him being punished by locking him up, without clothes, inside a classroom, where he was left for two hours. “In Viana, we received a report of psychological aggression and mistreatment whose victim was 14 years old, inside a school.

According to the complaint, he drew in the school yard and the security guards, upon noticing, took him to the management. These, in turn, accused the child of being a sorcerer, maintaining that “As soon as we became aware of the matter, we contacted the complainant, who provided more details about the location of the aggressor and, thus, with the intervention of the director of Social Action and the Police of the municipality of Talatona, it was possible to arrest the stepmother and the child temporarily taken in, until, with the intervention of the father, the mother can be located”, he said.

Sexual violations continue

On the other hand, in the municipality of Viana, INAC received two reports of sexual abuse whose victims were children aged 6, one of whom was raped by her own uncle, aged 35. The document attests that this is a recurring act, as the child showed signs of fear when faced with his mother’s brother. A 50-year-old citizen, in the municipality of Belas, sexually abused a minor under the age of 12, and then fled.

In the province of Huambo, the total number of reports of violence against children stood at 165, with emphasis on eight cases of sexual abuse, including the case that occurred in the municipality of Alto Hama, whose victim was a 3-year-old child, sexually raped per 43-year-old individual.

Meanwhile, in Bengo, there were 32 reports, one of which was sexual abuse, which occurred in the town of Panguila, where a 4-year-old child was the victim and was raped by her stepfather, who is in prison. From the coastal province of Benguela, INAC received 53 reports of rape against children.

However, of these, he highlighted one of sexual abuse that occurred in the municipality of Bocoio, where a 10-year-old child was the victim, raped by a 36-year-old individual. Finally, in Moxico, a minor under the age of 15 became pregnant as a result of a sexual rape committed by an adult, in the city center. According to the complaint, the individual took advantage of the victim’s vulnerability when she was leaving school and offered her a ride in his car.
