The two detainees who sawed off the bars of their cells at the Quiévrechain juvenile penitentiary, in the north of France, and escaped during the night from Sunday to Monday, were arrested on Monday in Belgium, said the Lille public prosecutor’s office.
These minors, aged 17 and one suspected of murder, the other of rape, “were arrested this evening in Belgium” and placed in police custody, said public prosecutor Carole Etienne.
