Minors will be given work permits: they will pack purchases in Edomex

The Department of Inclusion and Eradication of Child Labor of the State of Mexico will grant to minors under 15 to 16 years of age the work permit so that they can be employed as volunteer packers in self-service storeso.

According to the agency, which is part of the state Department of Labor, the authorization is free and valid for one year.

The parents or guardians of the minor, together with the interested young person, must apply for the permit at the Department of Inclusion and Eradication of Child Labor, he said.

The process takes approximately 15 minutes, according to the department.

To date, he said, almost 30 permits have been issued and this number is expected to increase during this summer holiday period.

For this procedure, The self-service store issues at least one sealed and signed form with the established requirements.

The minor interested in working must submit the following: documents:

  1. Current certificate of studies, since the minor must be studying.
  2. Birth certificate.
  3. Unique Population Registry Key (CURP).
  4. Proof of address.
  5. Medical certificate issued by a public institution.
  6. School identification of the young person.
  7. Official identification of the father, mother or guardian.
  8. A photograph of the child (black and white, child-sized).
