Minsal reports 4,380 cases and Chile accumulates over 17 thousand in one week, almost doubling the previous one | National

On Saturday morning, the Ministry of Health (Minsal) reported the detection of 4,380 new infections of covid-192,023 of them symptomatic.

The figure represents highest since June 27, when 4,488 cases were reported.

Thus, the reports of the last seven days total 17,155 diagnoses, above 9,631 from last week (Sunday 26 to Saturday 1) and 8,741 from the previous week (Sunday 19 to Saturday 25).

With the result of the day, the total number of patients in the active stage of the disease went from 14,405 to 17,132.

According to portfolio figures, the Nationwide variation of new confirmed cases was 78% and 47% for the comparison of seven and 14 days, respectively.

In addition, the digital report reported a national positivity of 5.30%, which corresponds to the highest figure since July 2 (5.65%).

By region, Tarapacá led the day’s list with 18.73%, which was 12.16% yesterday, Friday.

Second was Antofagasta (8.65%), third was Arica and Parinacota (7.77%), fourth was La Araucanía (6.55%) and sixth was RM (5.65%).
