Kathmandu: A 15 cm long knife was found in the stomach of a 22-year-old man who sought treatment at the hospital with abdominal pain. The incident happened in Nepal. A day before reaching the hospital, the youth was stabbed during a beating. After this, a local health worker administered the drug. But no one noticed that the blade part of the knife was stuck inside the young man’s stomach. The wound did not show any sign that the blade of the knife had been driven in. The young man was talking when he was stabbed, so he went home following stitching the wound. The next day he had no recollection of the beating or the stabbing. Meanwhile, he felt severe abdominal pain and reached the hospital. At the same time, despite the fact that the knife was inside, the young man did not experience vomiting, bleeding or other discomfort. Blood count was normal. The young man did not tell the doctors regarding the stabbing at first. Stich’s unsung doctors were asking him for help. Then the young man was subjected to tests including X-ray. With this, it was found that the knife was stuck inside the stomach. The knife was moving freely from one side to the other inside the stomach. The knife was then surgically removed. Officials say the young man is recovering well following being released from the hospital.
