Disappeared in the forest for 8 days in Alaska, a couple of hikers from Tennessee were found safe and sound on Friday.
The couple was only three kilometers from their car.
Jonas Bare, 50, and Cynthia Hovsepian, 37, were spotted by a hiker walking through the woods in Fairbanks.

The couple had survived eight days in the wild after getting lost during what was supposed to be a brief hike on an established trail, Mr Bare’s uncle told the New York Post.
The latter added that he thought Mr Bare and Ms Hovsepian had been dizzy and disoriented by the sun.
“They were lost, I’m sure, and disoriented, otherwise they would have gotten out of there,” he said.

Mr Bare’s daughter also confirmed her father and Cynthia were found alive and being treated in hospital.
It is not known what condition they are in and whether they have suffered any injuries.
Mr. Bare and Ms. Hovsepian were reported missing on August 11 after failing to leave their Airbnb rental, where they had left all their luggage, according to Fairbanks police.

The dark blue Jeep Compass the couple rented was also found abandoned at the popular Chena Hot Springs Resort, located near the hiking trail.

They were eventually found about three kilometers from their car.
“This is where the shoe pinches: three kilometers from the car,” pointed out Mr. Bare’s uncle.
He described his nephew as a “capable” man.
Mr Bare, however, had a history of outdoor disorientation.
On August 8, the globetrotter posted a message on Facebook where he assured that during his trip to Alaska, he would not get lost as he had done in Australia.
“I’m not going to get lost like I did ten years ago in Australia and the Katoomba range. If a Kodiak catches me, I will consider it an honorable death,” he wrote.
