Samantha Lo confirmed to love women, she made her girlfriend public. This is not the first beauty of the Miss Grand International contest belonging to the LGBTQ+ community.
On January 19, on her personal page, Samantha Lo – Miss Grand Philippines 2019 – confirmed that she is a lesbian. She posted a dance video with her girlfriend on the occasion of her lover’s birthday. The two were seen hugging and kissing.

This information surprised the audience, but did not surprise friends and followers of Miss. Because before that, she often shared pictures next to this girl. In an article in early 2022, Samantha told her “friends” to invest in new areas and set up a fitness company.

Theo Rappler, Samantha Lo 30 years old, born and raised in the state of Florida (USA) but has a Chinese-Filipino father and a Nicaraguan Cuban mother. In 2015, she returned to the Philippines to study and work. The beauty has won the place to represent the Asian beauty powerhouse to participate in Miss Grand International 2019.
That year, some news sites published content that Samantha could not be in Venezuela to participate in the contest because of forging citizenship and passports. However, on October 19, 2019, the beauty spoke up on her personal page, confirming that she had arrived safely after a series of incidents.
Although not in the top 20, Samantha was still named in the top 10 most beautiful swimsuit contestants, the top 10 highest voted beauty and the top 10 most beautiful national costumes.

Samantha Lo is not the first Miss Peace to openly belong to the LGBTQ+ community. In October 2022, Mariana Varela (Argentina) and Fabiola Valentín (Puerto Rico) – two beauties of Miss Grand International 2020 – revealed they were a couple. The two beauties announced that they were married.
