And 20 year old young man was reported as lost in the bed of the Colorado River, in Yuma, Arizona, since Monday afternoon, after he entered the water and was unable to get out.
The Yuma County Sheriff’s Office said the incident was reported near the Hidden Cove mobile home park at 6:36 p.m.
The missing youth was identified as Brian Vasquez20, of Yuma, who was wearing black shorts when last seen.
According to the report, the young man entered the water along with a group of people near the puente “Ocean to Ocean”and when he tried to get out of the water, he couldn’t.
The current dragged him south and according to witnesses, the young man submerged in the water but they did not see him come out.
Agents from the Sheriff’s Office, Border Patrol, Police and Firefighters went to the scene to start a search by land, water and air, without positive results.
The search was paused at 8:15 p.m. and then restarted at 06:21 a.m. this Tuesday, but at 1:00 p.m. it was discontinued, however, agents and some aquatic units remain in place to continue tracking for this Tuesday and Wednesday.
