On September 10, 2020, Scarlett Salice (26) set out on a hike in the southern Black Forest. Since then there has been no trace of her. After her case was broadcast on the “Aktenzeichen XY” program, new information was received.
The surveillance recordings from September 10, 2020, when Scarlett Salice bought a water in Edeka Todtmoos (D), is the last documented sign of life from the then 26-year-old. Days before she had started in Stühlingen (D), at the starting point of the gorge trail. 120 kilometers in six days and now she wanted to set off on the last stage to Wehr (D) in the southern Black Forest. But then their trail is lost. Scarlett has been missing ever since.
A large-scale search by the police using drones and helicopters was unsuccessful, information from people who claim to have seen the blonde young woman with the red backpack led to nothing and even a private search initiative by the relatives has not provided any information about the whereabouts of the missing person to date.
On Wednesday evening, the case was shown on the program “Aktenzeichen XY unsolved” on ZDF. After that, more than 70 new tips were received, as reported by the “Badische Zeitung”. The evaluation of the information is still ongoing. Rahel Diers, the press spokeswoman for the responsible public prosecutor’s office in Waldshut-Tiengen, told the newspaper whether this would give rise to any new findings regarding their whereabouts.
Corona pandemic separated her from her boyfriend
The missing Scarlett is described by her father Ralf as a life-affirming, inquisitive young woman who loves to travel. “She had many plans,” he said on the show. Her biggest plan was to marry her boyfriend Joey, whom she met on a trip to Myanmar. She was traveling with the Chinese for four months before the corona pandemic forced both of them to return to their home countries in March 2020. With Joey she had a video call at the Kurpark Todtmoos at 10.14 a.m. Her mobile phone was last logged into the public WLAN there. After that, her cell phone could no longer be located.
Was she lured into a car? Did she fall while hiking in the rugged area? Her family has not yet given up hope of seeing Scarlett again and has offered a reward of 12,000 euros. A daughter should not become a memory, according to her father Ralf.
