Salzburg – As expected, Klaus Mitterdorfer was elected the new president of the Austrian Football Association (ÖFB) on Saturday. The Carinthian received all 14 votes at the Extraordinary General Assembly in Salzburg and thus succeeds Johann Gartner. After the resignation of Gerhard Milletich last January, the Lower Austrian acted as interim head of the association.
