Miami Marlins received at the LoanDepot Park in the city of Miami the Washington Nationals in a meeting where Sandy Alcántara, who has an ERA of 2.32 and fights for the Cy Young of the National League was one of the protagonists of the victory of the Fish by 4 races to 1.
The right-hander pitched 8 complete innings in which he allowed only 3 hits, a walk and a single run that came on a home run by Joey Meneses in the first inning. Likewise, he struck out 11 batters.

Although the Floridian public wanted to see him on the mound in the ninth inning, manager Don Mattingly decided to substitute him for the last inning of the game. The American Dylan L. Floro would enter the mound, a decision that would be harshly booed by the stands of LoanDepot Park.
Marlins fans were unhappy with the change in their team’s pitching. Alcántara’s performance had been formidable and it was thought that he could complete the game. However, Mattingly preferred to rest his pitcher, who had already pitched 99 pitches, to avoid possible injury.
The substitution of Alcántara would not prevent the victory of the Marlins, who got a final zero in the last inning with their pitcher Dylan Floro, who had a strikeout and his seventh save.
