Mod Remastered Anti-Pride Spider-Man has been removed
The mod that replaced pride flags with US flags in Spider-Man Remastered has been removed from mod sites.
The mod community for Spider-Man Remastered was beautiful active Since the game’s release on PC last week, mods have been created to change pigeons into mice and all kinds of other fun character switches. However, one of the modifications that caught the eye was even more divisive.
The mode in question replaced all the pride flags that appeared in the game with the United States flag. It was uploaded on August 15 on Nexus Mods, and was removed by site staff on August 17. A similar mod appeared on ModDB, which was also removed.
Nexus Mods released file disclaimer To deal with the removal of the situation. The statement accuses the mod’s creator, who used a sockpuppet account (a new account created solely for phishing purposes), to the point of calling them “cowards”. The mode has now been removed, and the sock puppet and major video upload accounts are also banned.
The staff post goes on to explain the site’s right to exercise content management, detailing why the action was taken. “We are for inclusion, we are for diversity,” the post read. “If we believe that someone has uploaded a modification to our site with the intention of intentionally anti-inclusion and/or diversity, we will take action against them.
“We do not want and will not argue with you about this. We have now made our position clear and will not offer you a basis for distorting our position to fuel an illogical and paranoid narrative. You can do this elsewhere, since we won’t care enough to read it.
“If this policy bothers you, if we violate an ethical code of conduct as a company that you cannot accept, please delete your account (bottom option) and move forward, as we will.”
ModDB confirmed that it also removed the mod and blocked the user who uploaded it to their site.

Since then, there have been a lot of positive mods for Nexus Mods that respond to the situation. Colorful New York Replaces all US flags with the Pride Flag instead, while progressive flags Adds flags for different minorities and campaign groups, such as the Black Lives Matter flags.
