Monique Olivier, the former companion of serial killer Michel Fourniret, who died in 2021, will be sent back to the Assizes for the disappearance of Estelle Mouzin, as well as in two other files.

Dark court cases far from over. The investigating judge of the “cold cases” center of Nanterre, asked this Friday for the dismissal to the Assizes of Monique Olivier, the former wife of the serial killer Michel Fourniret, who died in 2021, for complicity in the kidnapping of Estelle Mouzin in 2003, as well as in the kidnapping and murder of Marie-Angèle Domèce in 1988 and Joanna Parrish in 1990.

Since the death of her ex-husband, Monique Olivier is the only person implicated in these three files. She is actually the subject of two judicial inquiries, one for complicity in kidnapping and kidnapping followed by the death of Estelle Mouzin, the other for complicity in kidnapping and kidnapping, on the one hand, and murder, preceded, followed or accompanied by rape on the other hand on Joanna Parrish and Marie-Angèle Domèce. His trial, the date of which has not yet been set, will be the first of the “cold case” center of Nanterre, unique in France and launched a year ago, intended for unsolved cases.

Monique Olivier, now 74, has already been sentenced to life imprisonment for complicity in four murders and gang rape committed by Michel Fourniret. She had also been sentenced to 20 years in prison for complicity in a fifth murder. “The ogre of the Ardennes”, her former husband, who died in 2021 at the Salpêtrière hospital in Paris, had meanwhile been sentenced to life imprisonment for seven murders of young girls, committed between 1987 and 2001.

In 2004, Monique Olivier gave investigators a first list of victims, then contradicted Michel Fourniret’s alibi for the evening of the disappearance of Estelle Mouzin years later, in 2019. Michel Fourniret also admitted his responsibility in the disappearance of Estelle a few months later.

Finally, in April 2021, shortly before the death of her former spouse, she had finally recognized for the first time her role in the kidnapping of Estelle. The body of the little girl, aged 9 at the time of her disappearance, has never been found, however, nor that of Marie-Angèle Domèce.
