With 1,605 steps and 2,350 meters long, the Monserrate trail is one of the favorite tourist destinations for locals and foreigners, attended weekly by hundreds of people to do physical activity, enjoy the gastronomic offerings, attend the Eucharist and of course appreciate the panoramic view of the city.

In this way, the IDRD indicated that the new times to upload on Sundays in January will be from 6:00 am to 10:00 am and from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm

These are the main recommendations that you should take into account when visiting Monserrate

1. Carry a self-care kit with antibacterial gel or alcohol, towel, personal water bottle and wear a face mask at all times.

2. Do not consume food during the ascent.

3. Wear comfortable clothing and appropriate footwear.

4. Use sunscreen.

5. Hydrate during the ride, keeping your distance.

6. Follow the instructions of the authorities and IDRD staff.

7. Stay to the right to ascend and descend.

8. In case of crowding, stay calm and do not go out on unauthorized roads or paths.

9. Due to the high physical demand, it is recommended that the climb be carried out by people over 14 years of age and pregnant women or people with heart or respiratory conditions should refrain from doing so.

10. Remember that on the Monserrate trail there are no public bathroom services, since the trail does not have aqueduct and sewage infrastructure to provide the service.

Is prohibited:

1. The entry of minors with a height of less than one meter.

2. The entry of pets, plants or livestock.

3. The admission of pregnant women.

4. The entry of people over 75 years of age.

5. Sales service.

6. The sale and marketing of food products, as well as other goods and services during the tour.

7. The consumption of alcoholic beverages and hallucinogenic substances.

8. The entry of bicycles, cars, walkers, skateboards, stilts.

9. Throwing garbage during the tour (we do not have trash cans).

10. Manipulate or collect flora or fauna.

11. The carrying of any type of weapons or blunt elements.

12. Overtake or run on the trail, as this creates risks of accidents for users.

13. Use speakers, megaphones or any sound amplification device.

14. Obstruct the traffic of other users.
