In July 2022 Michael Robert had made an appointment in Montaut for all astronomy enthusiasts and those who wanted to discover the observation equipment and the celestial objects that could be seen in the sky. The success was such that Michael Robert, accompanied by his friends, decided to create an “ongoing” association, dedicated to astronomy. But above all to organize a free evening again. This one, called “A night with your head in the stars”, will take place on Saturday July 22, from 10 p.m. at the Raymond Donnat stadium.
“I invite all those who practice astronomy, or all those who would like to discover it. Those present will be able to discover four workshops. which will make it possible to do astrophotography, and to observe nebulae and galaxies through a computer screen, and a third which will allow all those who wish and who have either a digital camera or a smartphone to photograph the milky way. They will be surprised at the quality rendered. The last will, thanks to an audio tape and a powerful laser pointer, present the most emblematic stars and constellations of the summer sky. A tarpaulin will be installed for this purpose to so that it is possible to lie on the ground to observe the sky”.
For the occasion, the municipality has undertaken to cut off the outdoor lighting. “If other astronomers wish to join us, they can contact me. Thus, a place will be reserved for them. And then, for all those who wish to leave with a souvenir, photos of our various observations will be put up for sale. All funds will be donated in full to the association”.
