The group involved in the attack on Chinese engineers in Shangla district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was arrested. The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) arrested more than 10 terrorists and facilitators involved in the attack.

According to CTD sources, important arrests were made from the mobile SIM of the suicide bomber. The arrested terrorists and facilitators belong to the outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).

Among those arrested are 4 facilitators, the commander who brought the attacker from Afghanistan was also arrested.

The vehicle used in the suicide attack was parked near Shangla for 10 days on a rent of Rs 500 per day.

It should be noted that on March 26, 6 people, including 5 Chinese nationals, were killed as a result of a suicide attack on a vehicle at Basham in Shangla area of ​​Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Regional Police Chief Mohammad Ali Gandapur while talking to a foreign news agency said that a suicide bomber rammed a vehicle full of explosives into a convoy of Chinese engineers who were going from Islamabad to their camp in Dasu area of ​​Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. .

Muhammad Ali Gandapur further said that as a result of the suicide blast, apart from 5 Chinese residents, one of their Pakistani drivers also lost their lives.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed condolences to the Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Jiang Zedong over the death of Chinese engineers in the terrorist attack in Bisham and assured to investigate the perpetrators and facilitators of the incident and punish them.

The Pakistan Army condemned the suicide attack on a vehicle at Basham in the Shangla region of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, saying that in the cowardly acts, the important strategic projects of Pakistan’s economic development are being targeted, the cowardly acts of terrorism aim at internal security. To destabilize.

On March 27, Federal Information Minister Atta Tarar has said that a Joint Investigation Team (JIT) will be formed to investigate the terrorist incident in Bisham.

Addressing the cabinet meeting on March 30, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that the elements involved in the Basham incident do not want Pakistan-China friendship to move forward.
